Familiar in the Bombay rock circles as a 24-year-old drum prodigy, Viru has played with a wide variety of bands.

From Trilok Gurtu to Steve Gadd to Dennis Chambers, he loves anything to do with Percussions, be it metal or Mississippi Blues. And he can do a mean mix at the studio as well.

He is the innovator, the out-of-the-box thought astronaut. Paul Mcartney, John Mclaughlin, Victor Wooten, A.R.Rehman are few of the many whom he worships.

Through the years of performing across the country, he has left his ears open to music from all genres, though he would love few things more than a heart-to-heart with Roger Waters.

A jazz-rock & blues freak, Sumit is originally from the “City of Joy”. He swears by the likes of Carlos Santana, John Mclaughlin, Pat Metheny, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Amyt Datta among many, many other six-string prophets.

If Prayag be a human being, Sumit is the soul. He's not just a lead guitarist but also a teacher for the rest of the band.

A warhorse of many bands and projects including fusion band Simha, Prasad “Pasha” Ruparel is Prayag’s newest member. Equally adept at blazing out scorching rock riffs and coaxing nylon string classical melodies, he’s truly versatile veteran. And he has a killer sense of humour!

The newest Prayag member, who has taken to the band like the proverbial fish to the bicycle (oops, we mean water, we're sure you know). Amish was a hit with the band from the day he walked in, slung his guitar and started playing along with the Prayag songs without any briefing. He plays a mean backing guitar, sings seconds like a dream, and rumour has it is even better with the Tabla!

The youngest of the gang, this multi-faceted musician is as comfortable grooving with the Tabla & Dholak as he is, belting out power-packed riffs and singing along with the band.
Naveen eventually left for Bahrain to pursue his career. We wish him the best of luck, and he knows just as we do that he will always be a part of Prayag.
